Battersea Power Station, once a coal-fired power station, was decommissioned in 1983 and left abandoned on the south bank of the River Thames. Owing to its Art-Deco inspired design, the four iconic chimneys and red bricks, the building has always been a renowned landmark. Since 2014, the Grade II listed building has been undergoing a massive transformation to restore it as a mixed-use development to serve a new purpose as per 21st century requirements, while conserving its unique historical features.
